This poster takes what is taught in Watson's Molecular Biology of the Gene, 7th ed. (2013) and synthesizes it with recent findings on higher order nucleosome arrangement. PDB, VMD, Keyshot, and Adobe Illustrator were used to produce this image.
This infographic charts how out understanding of prion-like proteins has changed, and presents the yeast prion-like protein Sup35 as a case study to convey the structural components and process of protein amyloid formation.
This image maps accurate size relationships and components of the Gram negative bacterial membrane. Peptidoglycan wall was constructed in Avogadro and remeshed in Zbrush. Proteins were constructed from chimeras via PDB, Swiss-MODEL Repository, i-TASSER, and aligned in VMD. Outer membrane with lipopolysaccharide upper leaflet constructed in Charmm-GUI and remeshed in Zbrush. Rendered in Keyshot and composited in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

The didactic game Micro-Manager was created to help college students in STEM understand the process of miRNA production. Made under the combined efforts of Rebecca Bruehl (producer), Sarah McGuinness (art director), Dani Robinson (programmer), and Leo Swenson (programmer). This project was made in partial fulfillment of UIC BVIS' Sam Bond's Interactive class.
